Explanation: CFTRI is one of the 40 national research laboratories in India, set up under the aegis of the council of scientific and industrial Research (CSIR). It was opened on 21 Oct. 1950 in Mysore (Karnataka). The centre also has extended resource centres in Hyderabad, Lucknow and Mumbai.
